Venezuelan opposition leader and presidential candidate María Corina Machado spoke on the upcoming Venezuelan election and the push for democracy in her country, during a roundtable meeting of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere. She spoke about her campaign to unseat President Nicolás Maduro and was confident that she would prevail, despite being removed from the ballot by the comptroller general of Venezuela in order to eliminate opposition to President Maduro’s reelection. close
