You may know Harry Connick Jr. for his work as a singer, actor, former American Idol judge, and current daytime television host, but we bet you didn't know the entertainer also loves a good home renovation project. Case in point, his stunning Connecticut farmhouse, which he spent two years overhauling.

The Grammy and Emmy award winner and his wife, Jill, a former Victoria's Secret model, are selling their $7.5 million Connecticut home, so they can take on a new real estate project, according to the Wall Street Journal. After living there for 20 years with their three daughters, the Connicks have listed the property and want to purchase a new home to remodel.

The 4.61-acre estate, now listed with April + Kelly at William Raveis Real Estate, was once a dairy farm. The seven-bedroom main house is the former barn, dating back to the 1890s. The Connicks moved in to the New Canaan property, about 50 miles from New York City, in 1998. They moved from the city to raise their family somewhere they could "stretch out a little bit," Harry told the Wall Street Journal.

When the couple bought the home, they spent two years renovating it. They used chestnut from the original structure to build countertops and doors, and they made a huge fireplace from a set of steps on the property.

Besides the dreamy main house, the property has a heated pool, a pool house with a cupola, and two smaller converted barns, which the family once used to host parties.

Harry said he and his wife are ready to sell their incredible home because they're ready for a new project. "We wanted to try something new,"Harry said. If it's going to be anything like their current house, we can't wait to see it!
