Erin Barry Denies An Affair With Tony Parker

Erin Barry wants to make something clear: she did NOT get with Tony Parker. In an exasperated message on her website, the Texas humanitarian and mother of two addresses rumors that she was The Other Woman who came between Parker and Eva Longoria.

"I DID NOT HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH TONY PARKER,nor did I 'pursue' Tony Parker," writes Barry (all-caps hers), who's divorcing Parker's former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry.

"Unfortunately, because our divorces areoccurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on ourfriendship," she continues. "My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with theend of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama),and to assume that we had an affair is naïve, ridiculous, andcompletely misguided."

The rest of Barry's statement is straightforward, reasonable and earnest. She shakes a fist at the gossip mill, deflecting the focus on her charitable work: "Salacious rumors are not what keep me awake at night. What keeps meawake is wondering how the 5-year-old who was taken away from herabusive family is sleeping during her first night in a children'sshelter."

There's really no reason to cast doubt on Barry, who's also a convincing stand-in for Stockard Channing. And since Parker has been dogged by cheating rumors before, it's likely that that he and Longoria will need more than a friendly lunch to sort out their problems.
